Salt Chlorination
Salt water chlorination is the process whereby salt (saline) is converted through a process of electrolysis to sodium hypochloride (liquid chlorine).
Why Change?
Salt water chlorination is the process whereby salt (saline) is converted through a process of electrolysis to sodium hypochloride (liquid chlorine). When the chlorine has completed its work on cleaning your pool water, it reforms back to salt.
A salt chlorinator is basically a chlorine generator or “mini chlorine factory” which consists of two parts;
- a low voltage power supply,
- and an electrolytic cell.
The salt chlorinator can be a self-cleaning unit or a maintenance unit, which means that the unit will either automatically clean the cells, or a unit where a low degree of maintenance is required in the form of a periodic cleaning of the cells.
- NO Red Eyes
- NO Green Hair
- NO Algae
- Low Maintenance
- NO Irritated Skin
- NO Damaged Bathing Suits
advantages
Comfortable Swimming
Therefore, you do not get sore stinging red eyes.
advantages
Healthy
The salt chlorination purification system will maintain perfectly healthy water, while eliminating the risks and problems associated with periods of very high or very low chemical levels as the output of the chlorine can be controlled.
advantages
Significant cost savings
Salt levels require infrequent topping up and salt gives a considerable saving over chlorine dosing. The need to add algaecides and “shock” treatment chemicals to the water is negated.
advantages
Low Maintenance
advantages
Environmentally and Ecologically friendly
advantages
Allergy friendly
Users of swimming pools and spa pools enjoy the natural therapeutic and health benefits of the mild salt water – with none of the obnoxious effects usually suffered with manually chlorinated water. Swimmers who suffer with what is commonly referred to as “chlorine allergies” will find relief from these symptoms in a salt chlorinated pool.
